Raffle for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

This year we have decided to hold a raffle to support 'Hearing dogs for deaf people'. And In particular one dog, Jonty, who is sponsered personally by Hilary and John from Great Wyrley.

Jonty is the 4th dog in which Hilary & John have sponsored and raised funds for their training by holding tombolers and spreading awareness at local fayres, markets and events. Over the last 10+ years they have raised over £50,000!! And we are hoping our raffle will contribute towards that and getting another dog on it's way to change a persons life.

We had the pleasure of meeting Hilary & John at one of the fayre's and got talking about what they do, we also went to visit them to find out more and was touched at their story as to why they work hard at what they do. Hilary's mom took interest in the charity after her hearing deteriorated a bit and looked into options should she go deaf. From then on she began raising funds to support the training of the dogs in the event she may need one herself. Hilary and John later on continued this after meeting one of these amazing dogs in a hospital and talking to the person it was supporting.

They have visited the training centres, specially invited to events, meeting celebrity ambassadors and most importantly the people who need these dogs. The stories of how the dog has changed their life is remarkable, it's bought a sense of safety, companionship, socialisation and much more to their lifes'.
